Bell introduces HSPA network and iPhone. Telus joins tomorrow.

Picture 13Looks like Rogers has some new competition. Finally. Their monopoly on the iPhone has come to an end in Canada with both Bell and Telus now providing access to the popular Apple iPhone with their introduction and support of their new HSPA network. Not only that, but, Bell and Telus can now take advantage of out of country cellular subscribers looking for access to the HSPA network (primairly Europeans), and with the upcoming Vancouver Olympics this could provide a huge incremental revenue stream to both carriers. It’s also been quite difficult if not impossible for Bell / Telus customers to take their Bell / Telus cell phones and roam in the European zone.

A visit to Bell’s web site provides the following slogan and link – “It’s On. The New Network”.
