Fresh off the heals of a recent post I just did on “The Office Phone is Dead“, Cisco just introduced an amazing looking handset – obviously very high end – the Cisco 9900 series. This phone clearly blurs the line between phone and PC. I believe the phone apps are moving to the desktop and away from the handset, although there clearly is a market willing to pay $800 for a full video desk phone.
