Avaya Makeover VanA few weeks ago I posted a blog posting about Avaya giving away a new FREE Avaya IP Office phone system. All you needed to do to win was enter the contest !

I then went on to say: Avaya will help design and install solutions specially tailored to each company’s specific needs. Actually, the installation, if the winner happens to be in a city serviced by Digitcom.ca, might be done by one of our own technicians.

The Avaya makeover contest in Canada is now over. The winner was announced yesterday. The winning company was Direct Impact Marketing located in downtown Toronto.

The Avaya Makeover van pulled up at approx. 1PM yesterday. John Williams from Avaya used his “very loud” microphone to announce to the neighborhood that Direct Impact had just won a new Avaya IP Office phone system. Robert Lesser, President of Direct Impact, and his staff were very pleasantly surprised of course. We spoke with Robert about the Avaya IP Office, and some of the applications and how they would be used for his business. Direct Impact

Some of the features Robert spoke of include:
– Unified Messaging
– Mobile Twinning
– Call Center Queuing
– Silent Monitoring
– Dialing through Outlook
– Silent call recording
– Softphones
– Full Duplex speakerphones

Digitcom.ca will be involved with installing the system over the course of the next few weeks.

The van continues back to the US where it will hand out 23 more Avaya IP Office business phone systems.

I never enter contests. I always figure I’m not going to win, but, in this case Avaya has proven that YES, it does pay to enter.

Thanks for all of the help in setting up the new system.

The timing for our new phone system couldn’t be better. We are changing our business model for our B2B call centre and the Avaya system will allow us to do so.

We greatly benefit from your expertise at Digitcom and appreciate your help.
