Everybody expected a good showing from Apple, but no one imagined a whopping sales figure of 8.7 million iPhones in a single quarter. iPhones sales have grown by nearly 100 percent unit growth in an year – an achievement which will be tough to beat for any smartphone be it the Google Nexus One or the HTC HD2.
