WIND Mobile & Yak Team Up

WIND Mobile & Yak Team Up

WIND Mobile and YAK have announced their partnership to offer special discounts to customers who sign up for service bundles. The partnership was inevitable as both companies are owned by Globalive.

As a customer, you now have an option to choose your favorite Yak Pak along with a WIND Mobile Voice Plan. For example, if you opt for the Yak Pak Basic Triple Play + WIND Mobile ‘Always Shout’ voice plan, you get the combined deal at a discounted price of $53.90 per month. Amongst Yak Paks, you can choose from Basic, Lite or Fully Loaded Paks for Triple Play. If you opt for Double Play, you can also choose the Yak Pak High Speed Internet (5 Mbps) apart from any of the Triple Play plans.

As for Voice Plans, you have an option to choose amongst ‘Always Shout’, ‘Always Talk’ and ‘Chat’ plans. The Globalive Press Release states:

“Officially launching today in select areas in Toronto and Calgary, Yak customers will have the opportunity to add WIND Mobile services to new and existing Yak bundles, including Yak Home Phone service, Yak High Speed Internet, and Yak’s long distance service. In addition, customers who port their mobile number over to WIND Mobile by March 31st will get a $150 credit towards WIND services (subject to certain restrictions)*. Customers can also enjoy their first month of WIND Mobile service free.”

Anthony Lacavera, Chairman of Globalive is pretty optimistic that this partnership will be the ‘most competitive bundle offer’ in Canada. To sign up for the bundle offer, customers can either call the Yak Call Center (1-800-490-7235) or visit the Yak website.
