Telus Introduces Managed Mobility Services with Vox Mobile

Telus has announced a partnership with Vox Mobile to introduce Managed Mobility Services, a “unique suite” of end-to-end services.

This comes on the heels of Telus having registered seven Managed Mobility Services trademarks with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and represents another dip in the enterprise pool by further addressing needs in the Bring Your Own Device policies many companies are adopting.

Telus promotes Managed Mobility Services as a “complete service offering that manages an enterprise’s mobile infrastructure and devices from procurement to payment.”

“Mobile device management software has now made it possible to sync new mobile devices across multiple platforms, but there’s so much more to consider than just synchronizing email,” says Tony Krueck, vice president of business products and services at Telus. “With the flood of new smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications, enterprises are struggling to understand how to support, secure, and enable these devices. Now, enterprise customers will have more mobile device choice, increasing the satisfaction and productivity of their mobile users while offloading the IT burden and security risks.”

Managed Mobility Services, powered by Vox Mobile of course, offers a series of six “individual yet integrated” service modules that provide end-to-end options for managing devices on multiple platforms from multiple carriers.

Telus claims to offer more end-user choice, with device choices like iOS and Android on the list. Cost control and risk reduction are also selling features for Managed Mobility Services, with the company aiming at “offloading the IT burden” to their own resource pool to help companies cut costs and save time.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to work with Telus to deliver on their vision of the Future Friendly Enterprise as it relates to mobility,” said Kris Snyder, CEO of Vox Mobile. “We’re confident that Telus’ national relationships and managed services experience coupled with Vox Mobile’s end-to-end mobile expertise will be a great fit for enterprises in Canada.”

Telus’ Future Friendly Enterprise currently offers “mobile communications solutions” to over 1,600 enterprises across the country.
